This is a ... A call to arms for every MC It's a war against corruption on money push policy Suit up and move out, take back the airwaves or watch your music careers get buried alive in shallow graves Destroy the system. The populous is force fed where every MC's got a price on their forehead Use the mic as a weapon and together we're a shield Open the ears of the civilians and level the battlefield Shell shock the turrets of the inquisition They'll try to play a game of conquer and division Storms the gates, detonate the roadblocks This goes for all music, not singularly hip hop so what you gonna do? You gonna fly the flag, or be the fodder, leavin you bound and gagged Make your voices heard and break the silence Make your voices heard, destroy the tyrant Callin all MCs It's about time Callin all MCs get on the frontline The war is on Raise up you mic The war is on Prepare ta fight I pledge allegiance, to the Underground of a true hip hop nation Internet, TV, and radio's corrupt from the powers that be with a push of a button Ya want that single played in their prime rotation ya better shell out them bills to advertise on the station. Back in the day, DJs played songs in real time Not automated playlist – that's just – another war crime pay to play it's finest, don't buy it wanna shut us down, ha, just try it I got army of MCs who'd be at the front line blow the chumps off those charts like a hurricanes on some wind chimes The many outweigh the few and the numbers are stacked higher than those greenbacks that you aquire from kickbacks. MCs band together the revolution will be televised And put and end to major labels and media genocide Make your voices heard and break the silence Make your voices heard, destroy the tyrant Callin all MCs It's about time Callin all MCs get on the frontline The war is on Raise up you mic The war is on Prepare ta fight solo breakdown DESTROY THE TYRANT! (4x) Take it back!

I can't sleep the steam from the percolation makes my tea pot steep my eyes may be closed but yet I see through ink on the canvas with lines 30 deep. A whisper in my ear from that voice that greets me so sweetly With love through my tender care I excrete thee You got me drunk again just fantastic Hakeem my crumpled up rejects off the rim of the basket. it's just another offering a tribute to the litany like phoenix from the ashes Smile the epiphany Grab the volume turn it up DJ it's not loud enough (prechorus) par- ty til the sun comes up and early until dawn It's one of them nights I can sleep again but I dream again A night I'm (chorus) at ease when I release again I see clear with my voice with this a pad and pen and I'm at it again, Yeah, it's just one of them nights When the rivers flows sometimes the tides just carry out my boat and the undertow tends to leave me a little soaked but that's more or less the sweat on my palms that I wipe on my art smock after I'm done sharpening my pencil on the writers block a clever metaphone alegory dot dot dot an overture of thoughts and ink blot blot blot another tick tock I shake my head at the time as I scrawl my name at the finish line another verse Etched is in stone, hah Can't leave the chizzle alone Grab the volume turn it up DJ it's not loud enough (prechorus) par- ty til the sun comes up and early until dawn It's one of them nights I can sleep again but I dream again A night I'm (chorus) at ease when I release again I see clear with my voice with this a pad and pen and I'm at it again, Yeah, it's just one of them nights
